With the Circular No. 2020/12 of SSI Presidency dated May 7, 2020, Covid-19 was removed from the status of occupational accident. In that respect; employees suffering from Covid 19 disease due to the epidemic will not be able to benefit from occupational accident status.
It is regulated under the said Circular that “considering that the Covid-19 virus is an infectious disease, the insured who are exposed to this epidemic and who apply to healthcare providers must receive a remittance fund within the scope of the disease”.
