THE PERIOD FOR THE SHORT WORK ALLOWANCE HAS BEEN EXTENDED

In accordance with the Presidential Decree No. 2706, which was published in the Official Gazette dated 30.06.2020 and numbered 31171; the period granted to benefit from the short-time work allowance has been extended for another month.

In accordance with the said Decree; the duration of the short-time working allowance will be extended for one month for the workplaces which applied for short time working due to the compelling reason within the periodic situations arising from external influences due to the epidemic. Such one month period will commence as from; 1^st of July for workplaces that applied for short-term work until 30^th of June, the date of expiry of the application for the workplaces that have been completed short time work period and the date of expiry of the period for the workplaces where the application is continuing.

Within the scope of the said Decree; payments made on the grounds of compelling reasons within the scope of periodic situations arising from external influences will not be deducted from the initial unemployment benefit period.
